Bishop of Puebla, Mexico, and Osma, Spain. Born 1600 in Fitero, Navarra, Spain; died 1659 in Burgo de Osma, Soria, Spain. Consecrated bishop of Puebla de los Ángeles, Mexico, on December 27, 1639; also served briefly as Archbishop of Mexico (1642-1643).
